Position Description

As a National Account Executive, Consultant Relations at Summus you will drive the expansion of a transformational way to access expertise in medicine globally among brokers/consultants working with employer groups in the 1000+ employee space. You will work in your assigned territory to execute on our sales strategy, expand relationships, and drive sales through the broker/consultant market. A successful hire will have a proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets. This position has the potential for tremendous growth opportunities within Summus as our organization scales. We are seeking a National Account Executive who is excited to grow with us.

In this role you will:
  • Execute on large group broker/consultant sales strategy for Summus programs in accordance with the Summus sales strategy and stated targets.
  • Develop key relationships within the large group brokers and consultants channel that will drive revenue for Summus.
  • Actively participate and drive innovative distribution strategies that benefit the Company’s mission to be the key access point for the world’s best physicians within the large employer group channel.
  • Ensure that all business development and sales activities comply with security or compliance requirements as dictated by outside counsel.
  • Actively participate in and support planning and execution of Company’s strategic plan.


  • Work closely with the Summus National Account Sales Team and VP of Sales/Head of National Accounts to train and become a credible and trusted member of the National Accounts Team.
  • Maintain accountability and responsibility for execution of the sales strategy in your territory and exceed your targets.
  • Forge working relationships with key large healthcare brokers and consultants that drive revenue for the company.
  • Maintain CRM hygiene and diligence in tracking/recording work activities to ensure accurate forecasting
  • Represent Summus’ culture and passion in all business dealings internally and externally.
  • Have an unwavering commitment to seeing the company hit and exceed its targets.


  • 10+ years of professional sales experience.
  • Successful experience working with decision makers at the highest levels within an organization.
  • Proven success in working within a sales framework and expert knowledge of sales and sales cycle management.
  • Superior communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work responsibly, both independently and collaboratively as needs warrant in a fast-paced environment.
  • Impeccable attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Receptive to close coaching and feedback.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Background in healthcare a plus, but not required.
